Russell Hamilton

Russell brings decades of industry experience, with a strong foundation in geology and leadership. Prior to joining Dakota Oil & Gas, he held senior roles including Vice President and General Manager at AXP Energy, Inc., where he successfully led acquisitions, managed operations across multiple states, and optimized critical contracts. His broad expertise spans geology, environmental science, project management, and strategic planning—making him a key leader in advancing operational excellence for Dakota Oil & Gas.

A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Geology, Russell is active in the industry through leadership roles in the Kentucky Oil and Gas Association (KOGA), participation in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and membership in the American Association of Professional Geologists (AAPG).
